Recent wknd visit with friends 2 Jelenov Greben in Slovenia simply asked 2 include part of their gastronomical beauties (especially deer specialties) in this post. Yes, we ate Bambi and it was great :)

So, here r some things that we had a chance 2 try there, together with few short comments and scores 4 each listed thing.

- deer carpaccio - great taste if u like raw meet

- deer pâté - very good

                                                       SCORE - 8/10

- black caviar - many ppl r mad about it, I didn't like it that much, probably due 2 its "sea flavor" which wasn't so compatible with other stuff this time

                                                        SCORE - 4/10

- melon with prosciutto - 1 of my favorite starters, works well every time

                                                         SCORE - 8/10

- Deer stake - great dark meet, goes well with wild fruits, especially cranberries

Thanks 2 a good friend who brought us some stuff from Germany, as a follow up we had a chance 2 try following cool things:

- Montecristo, original Cuban cigars -  even if I'm not a big cigars expert, smoking this 1 tasted quite good. U smoke them without inhaling of course, 4 about 1,5 hours each

                                                          SCORE - 8/10

- Honey flavored Jack Daniel's - very good in general, even though it tastes more like "medica" than real whiskey

                                                       SCORE - 7/10

... and for d end...

- "Vedrini" nuts & raisins - cool b-day present :)

       SCORE - 8/10
